Terms we use on this site, explained without the jargon.
- What is a chatbot?
- Software on your website that answers visitor questions automatically. Ours are trained on your specific business info, not generic scripts.
- What is SEO (search engine optimization)?
- The practice of structuring a website so search engines like Google understand it and rank it for relevant searches.
- What is local SEO?
- SEO focused on showing up for searches with local intent — 'near me,' your city name, or your service area — mostly driven by your Google Business Profile and on-page signals.
- What is schema markup?
- Hidden code on a page that tells search engines exactly what something is (a business, a review, a FAQ) so they can display richer results.
- What is automation (or a workflow)?
- A set of steps that happen automatically once triggered — e.g. a form submission that instantly emails you and texts the customer a confirmation.
- What is website hosting?
- The service that keeps your website files online and accessible 24/7. Every website needs it; most business owners never need to think about it directly.
- What is a domain name?
- Your website's address (e.g. coyotemotive.com). Registered separately from hosting, though many providers sell both together.
- What is a Lighthouse score?
- A Google-built report card (0–100) measuring a page's performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO. Higher is better; 90+ is considered strong.
